Creating The IMW Logo

The logo I had chosen to make was the IMW logo as it was the on which got the most votes on my blog.
I started off by writing the phrase IMW in the impact text to make it bold and easy to read.

I then moved the letter W closer to the letter M to make it more individual.

I then moved the I closer to the M and W, I removed a diagonal line from the M and the W to  make it stand out so you can see the different letters, then I decided to go with the red and black theme and changed the letter M to red and the other two black.

I wanted to add something else to the logo, so I added the word Weekly at the bottom as a test to see weather I Liked it or not I wasn't sure about this decision though.

I then decided that I didn't want the Weekly at the bottom and I decided that I would have the words that the acronym stands for above it. I also copied the colour scheme from the letters into the words, but i reversed them to have a good effect.

Photos Which I Took

Here is a list of some of the photos which I have taken and the pro's and con's of each of them.

Photo 1:

Pro: The artists are in the right pose and they are being serious.

Con: The bright orange glasses are a bit of a distraction and they dont fit the Indie genre.

 Photo 2:

Pro: The artist are in the right pose again.

Con: They both have different facial expressions and the orange glasses are back and the hand of the
Artist on the right is too high.

Photo 3:

Pro: They are in a good pose and the glasses are more subtle and the hand is in the right position.

Con: Then Artist on the left has a different facial expression.

Photo 4:

Pro: The glasses are gone and the hand is in a better place.

Con: The models have there heads in different angles making it look unprofessional.

Photo 5:

Pro: They have the right position and similar facial expressions

Con: The model on the left is leaning back a bit too much.

Photo 6:

Pro: The idea was to capture the model in mid flight for a bit of effect.

Con: The camera shutter speed was slow so the image was captured at the wrong time and was blurry.

Photo 7:

Pro: The Same idea was used and there is less blur than the previous one.

Con: The camera shutter speed was again slow so I only got the landing, and the face is a bit Blurry.

Photo 8:

Pro: The Model is in the right position, facing the camera and looking like he is comfortable.

Con: The photo only consists of one member of the band so I might need to change it to be a solo artist.

Photo 9:

Pro: The facial expression is good and the position of the head is good as well.

Con: The guitar is half off the screen and the left hand is in an awkward place.

Photo 10:

Pro: The Guitar is in the right position.

Con: The facial Expression is not the one I was looking to capture.
